In no particular order:
- The Sims 4
I fell in love with this game when I was around 18. My brother is the one who introduced this game to me. And I am just obsessed with it! ๐ I so love The Sims 1 and I remember how I save up my allowance to buy the expansion packs and stuff packs. I definitely miss playing this one and how I wish there’s a way to play it again. I have The Sims 2 but nothing compares to the 1st oneย because I’ve played it so much back then. Fast forward to the present, I started playing The Sims 4 last year when I decided to stream on Twitch. It brought back so many memories and I really do enjoy playing the game. The graphics are just so cute and I love the building, furnishing and customizing your Sims aspects of this game.
- Tasty Planet 1 & 2
These 2 were unlikely games that I will play. I got these 4-5 years ago from Big Fish games. But I had fun playing these with Poni. I remember how we stay up late night and try to finish the levels. The music is so addicting and good and the goo is just so darn cute! ๐ Plus, the things it gets to eat are just absurd and funny at the same time.
- Tasty Blue
This is also from the creator of Tasty Planet. It has the same concept except this time instead of a goo it’s a fish. It still has the cuteness and the music I love from the first 2 games plus more. I haven’t finished this one yet since I don’t play every single day.
- Murder She Wrote
In general, I like playing hidden object games. This one I really like because it brings back some childhood memories. I remember when I was 4-5 years old, I wished that Angela Lansbury is my grandmother because of this show. I just find her so endearing. This is a nice simple game with puzzles and different mysteries to solve. *Update* I still haven’t finished this one yet.
- Delicious Series
I played all the Delicious games prior to this one. One person I know who likes these kind of games is my sister. We are pretty much late bloomers when it comes to computer games because we grew up not allowed to play computer games. We didn’t have any kind of gaming console growing up. But when we are on our late teens we are allowed but it is limited. I love how cute these games are and there’s a story, cute and challenging.
- Cathy’s Crafts
This is pretty much like the games from the Delicous series but instead of food it’s crafting supplies. Actually, just the same but different storyline of course. It can be repetitive but I am just a sucker for this kind of games. It is cute, fun and has it challenging moments.
- Cook, Serve, Delicious
I got this game from Steam. It was on sale and it has some good reviews so I purchased it and I really like it. It is very challenging. It has all the elements I am looking for in a game: time management, cute, food and cooking.
- Cooking Academy
I also got this one from Steam. It was on sale and was really cheap. So I snagged it ๐ This one looks really old school, graphics-wise. And has a very simple concept- cook and prepare ingredients. I find it cute and entertaining and for me that is fun. ๐
- Any Nancy Drew game
I have for sure more than 15 Nancy Drew games in my laptop…both my laptops to be precise. ๐ I love the books and I also love the games. I started playing Nancy Drew games around early 2000’s. And I have to say, they are really challenging. Some of the puzzles are really hard. I remember playing them with my sister who is 5 years older than me. So we can solve some of the puzzles together. 2 brains are better than 1, right? ๐ I played one with Poni recently and he’s the “smart” one between the two of us but even him got really challenged and admitted that some puzzles are indeed hard. So if you are looking for challenging games, I definitely recommend any of these games. It is a plus though if you are a Nancy Drew fan.
Not in the video:
- Sally’s Salon, Spa & Studio
This is another game that I remember playing with my sister. Not this particular one though. It was the 1st one, Sally’s Salon. I remember her telling me that the equipment upgrade is really expensive and achieving the goals are getting harder. I think my favorite from this game series is the salon one. Because I find the haircuts, eyebrow shapes and nail polish really cute.
- Burger Shop 1 & 2 (these games should not be played with an empty stomach because it’ll make you very hungry)
This game is just so cute! The food looks really good. I remember my brother installing this in our computer and all of a sudden after playing it for a couple of minutes, we got so hungry. We’re craving for McDonald’s but were too lazy to go out and we ended up eating instant cup noodles at around 10:30 p.m. This game will induce hunger no matter what time of the day it is.
As I always say in my Twitch streams, I am a different kind of gamer. I am not a hardcore gamer who play everyday for more than 5 hours. When I stream 4x a week, that is pretty much the only time I play The Sims 4. And then, there will be days when I’ll play some of the games mentioned above occassionally at night before going to bed for an hour or 2. Don’t get me wrong though! I love games. It’s just that there are so many other things that I have to do everyday and playing games is part of my “leisure” time.
I actually have a bunch of games in my Steam that I have purchased but haven’t played yet. Definitely my favorite place to buy games is Big Fish and Steam.
