Ingredients:
2 pieces relatively large Turkey drumsticks
1 Hokkaido Pumpkin, cut into chunks
Turkey seasoning:
Himalayan Pink salt
black pepper
garlic powder
olive oil (just enough to coat the bottom of the baking tray and the turkey legs)
butter (4-5 big nubs; depending on how much you like butter)
Pumpkin seasoning:
dried parsley
salt
olive oil
butter
- preheat oven to 200°C
- pierce the turkey legs near the bone (I do this so that the insides will be cooked through)
- put them on a foil and parchment paper lined baking/roasting tray
- sprinkle both sides with salt, pepper and garlic powder
- drizzle some olive oil and massage it on the meat until it’s covered all over
- add some nubs of butter
- set aside
- arrange the pumpkin chunks on a foil and parchment lined baking tray
- drizzle some olive oil (enough to generously coat the pumpkin pieces)
- sprinkle the salt and dried parsley
- mix it all together
- add some nubs of butter
- put both trays in the oven and let it roast for 20 minutes
- after 20 minutes flip the turkey legs and the pumpkin pieces
- let roast for another 20 minutes
- serve immediately
Just watch the video if you want to see how I made this one. I don’t measure when I cook. Unless I’m following a recipe I didn’t come up with. It all depends on your taste. If you want more pepper, add more if you don’t like it then don’t add it.
This is one of Poni’s go-to meals when he wants to eat something “healthy”. He mainly follows a Paleo diet whenever he can.
