This is how it looks like behind your screen when you watch my streams on Twitch. 🙂 This is also where I spend the majority of my time. I am not 100% happy with my desks but for now, it’ll do. I used to have a corner desk that I got from Ikea 3-4 years ago, but we’ve sold it to someone as it doesn’t have a spot in our flat. Plus I needed a bigger desk since I have 2 laptops and an extra monitor. But definitely, I love that corner desk! 😀 It is perfect. It has a built-in magnetic board, cord holes (to hide all the plugs and stuff), compartments and shelves. I also got the matching swivel chair. But that I have to say is uncomfortable. It looks good, but it doesn’t really do my back good sitting on it for hours.
Some of the questions I get asked a lot when I stream is how or what is my streaming setup. But I must warn you. I am such a noob when it comes to technology. I am not a tech savvy person at all. The fact that I am able to do live streams still amazes me. Because I managed to do it on my own without asking anyone or someone directly showing me how to.
Here are my working desks now (yes, I have 2):
Trust me, I’ve already decluttered this area to the best of my decluttering abilities. 😀 It is just hard not to make all the clutter visible. But since I have plans of moving next year, I guess I’ll be able to plan it properly next time, how my work area will be. Definitely lots of hidden storage area.
The tables/desks that I am using are actually for dining. And I just tried my best hiding all my hoard in clear plastic boxes. Ideally, I wanted these boxes to be really inside a cabinet or something.
This is a part of my work area. The hanging hearts is a DIY I made. Because the walls here are just too white for my taste. I need some color on the walls! 😀 I got this standing desk from Ikea and I use this when I do cooking streams on Twitch. I put my house plants on it when I am not using it.
This is my actual streaming setup. Detailed setup can be seen in my YouTube video. If you want to watch it just click here!
Just some of my pens and markers. I’ve always been obsessed with BIC or Papermate ballpoint pens. Specifically the medium point or .07 mm. And a total must-have for a wannabee organized person — a Dymo labeller. 😀
This is just a ladder-like shelf from Ikea. I got this 2nd hand together with the metal drawer and trash bin for €7-10 I think. Thanks to Poni, because he’s the true deal hunter. 😀 Some comics that I’ve started reading are on this shelf, notebook, camera, voice recorder some small trinkets. The Lóreal product is a tester sent to me for free, that I still have to review. I haven’t opened it yet since I’m still using the Olay products.
And one thing that I ultimately hate in my setup is this:
I call it the “revenge of the wires”. 😀 Since I am situated in an awkward area in our living room. There are no electrical outlets near the windows. But yeah, I’m sucking it up because I know soon I’ll have a dedicated office for all these. 😀
